My boyfriend and I have been together for just over a year and he wants to move in together but I'm not sure that I'm ready. Is one year really enough time to become this serious? I don't want to rush into this but I don't want to hurt my boyfriend's feelings either.

Jessica, this isn't a matter of how long you have been together, its a matter of your relationship being ready for this step. I had moved in with my parter within 3 months of meeting him and we are happily married 5 years later. However if you are not, as you put it, "serious" about this relationship, 20 years would not be enough time.
What is it that makes you hesitant about moving in together? If it is 'not wanting to settle down' then perhaps you and your partner have different ideas about the seriousness of the relationship, which you will need to discuss.
If it is him you are worried about, then you need to think about why you are with him in the first place.
